Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center |
Artifacts, demonstrations, exhibits and films showcasing the heritage of Louisiana are continually on display at the Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadain Cultural Center. Take part in the weekly jam sessions and demonstrations held at the center. A 200 seat-theater is used for productions by the Thibodaux Playhouse, Inc. and other programs. The center’s gallery shows off completed craft items as well as works from local artists and the bookstore offers books, music, children’s books, and craft items. Park rangers are on duty daily to answer visitor questions. Special talks and educational programs are available by reservation.

The Thibodaux Playhouse offers a lively outlet for the performing arts. Musicals and plays, including comedies and drama, are perfomed throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

The Nicholls' Players |
The Nicholls Players have performed productions ranging from the Sound of Music to Dracula. Since 1957, the Nicholls Players have created theatre magic on the Talbot Hall procenium stage at Nicholls State University.
